Angel
Angel is a unisex streetwear brand from Arnhem. The name comes from my middle name, but it represents something bigger: self-expression, authenticity, and staying true to who you are.
I believe you should be able to be yourself, without labels or limitations. Angel is an extension of that. Not a standard clothing brand, but a mindset.
A space where you can express yourself, in your own way. The slogan "Be Yourself" is deeply personal. Those words helped me during my coming out and as a deaf person in a hearing world. My friends and I often said it to each other: you have to be yourself, no matter what. That ultimately became my inspiration. Not as marketing, but as a reminder for myself and for others.
Streetwear has always been my way of expressing myself. It gives freedom. No rules, just energy, courage, and identity. You see that reflected in Angel.
Everything I make stems from that belief. Each piece is a piece of a story mine, but also that of everyone who identifies with it.
Angel is for those who refuse to be confined. For people who want to show themselves, without explanation or excuses.
Jánnice
Jánnice, born in Arnhem, is a brown, deaf, queer woman with a deep connection to fashion, community, and culture. As the eldest daughter in a large blended family with six siblings, she grew up in a hearing world where she didn't always feel understood. That experience shaped her and forms the foundation for everything she creates.
Angel was born from that place.
Not just as a clothing brand, but as a space. A movement that stands for individuality, expression, and connection.
With Angel, Jánnice is building a world where people can fully express themselves with their culture, their identity, their creativity, and without fear or apologies.
